1982. Liberace’s palimony suit begins
In 1982, 24-year old Scott Thorson filed a $133million palimony suit against ‘flamboyant’ entertainer Liberace, apparently after finding him in bed with another, younger man.

Homosexual? Whatever gives you that impression? Liberace with ’employee’ Scott Thorson.
Thorson claimed that he had been promised $70,000 a year as well as the use of Liberace’s Palm Springs and Beverley Hills homes for life. In return he was required to undergo plastic surgery to make him look more like the entertainer, spend the rest of his life with him and then be buried beside him in the family plot.
Liberace – and his manager – denied the whole thing and fought every step of the way, finally agreeing to a settlement of $95,000 in December 1986, two months before the pianist’s death. The presiding judge ordered that the terms of the settlement not be publicly disclosed.
