I’m obviously showing my age by opining that this seems like a very long track. But – back in the day – I was happy to bop along to it on the dance floor!

This one’s a re-make of 10c.c.’s 1970’s hit, brought up to date by transforming it into that highly distinctive early 80’s disco sound. Whilst I remember the record I have to confess I didn’t really know anything about Scherrie Payne, Turns out she’s the younger sister of Freda (‘Band of Gold’) Payne and actually fronted the Supremes from 1973 till 1977.
